Gourmet Stroll in Bruges

A romantic and culinary destination, welcome to Bruges, Venice of the North, and capital of the Belgian province of West Flanders. From its rich past, it has inherited a historic center city, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. Upon entering the city, visitors are enchanted by the charm of this town where time seems to have stood still. Bruges is a beautiful city, to be enjoyed on a stroll down cobble stoned streets, by carriage or bike ride, or during an unforgettable sunset cruise through the canals. We’ll wander through the market of the Grand Place, where vegetable and cheese merchants set up their stands, and feast on a Flemish waffle, or perhaps go to the Vismarkt to taste the gray shrimp and lobster.
On our way to the Hôtel de Ville, we’ll encounter the Saint-Sauveur Cathedral, La Maison des Tanneurs, the Beguinage and neighboring Minnewater lake. We’ll stop by for a plate of fried mussels, a hodgepodge or waterzooï, and check out a chocolate shop. After having, from the top of the Beffroi, admired the roofs and houses of colored bricks with stepped gables around the Burg and Markt squares, we’ll cool off and enjoy a local beer.
